“Feathers in the Wind” is a kinetic sculpture that consists of three intertwined 7’ 4” long by 3’ 6” wide brightly colored feathers. The three feathers play off one another swirling in the breeze. Moving or still the elegant sculptural forms of this piece will playfully infuse the skyline with color, shape, and a sense of wonder. The three painted 18 gauge steel feathers will have a combined weight of around 50 pounds. The kinetic mechanism brings the estimated weight of the sculpture to under 120 pounds. It is designed with the structural integrity to embrace the wind and to withstand the harsh Utah climate.
