Use your imagination to join the shallow depths with the swimming Chinook salmon. H2O-to-O2 are not typical cold-blooded fish. They are wonderfully warm, engaging sculptural forms just waiting for you to pretend to swim with them.
The sculptures for Irene Reither Elementary School, located near Bellingham, Washington, were inspired by regional native designs. Designed with children’s safety and imagination at the forefront, the sculptures invite young minds to dream and pretend they’re swimming with giant salmon. After installation, I was privileged to meet with over 700 students, engaging them in conversations about creativity, individuality, and the power of imagination — lessons that nurture a lifetime of wonder.
